Description:

Cor Tech Group US LLC is currently looking for a Key Account Manager (KAM) to join our South African team. Our ideal candidate should be a strategic thinker, customer focused, extremely detail oriented, organized and capable of handling complex social relationships.

The KAM will manage the relationships and day to day maintenance with our retail customers. They will have a thorough understanding of the retail landscape and the categories in which they manage. They will develop, in conjunction with the customer, the strategic vision and direction for their categories, and they will collaborate on a 1 to 3 year forward view aimed at delivering year on year growth to the business.

They will drive sales and volume through various promotional activity. They will be the key liaison for discussing price increases, store catalogue increases, product placements on shelf, delistings/eliminations as well as any other category related negotiations. Internally, they will have support from a matrix team comprised of a Product Developer, a Product Technologist and a Planner.

The KAM must ensure that their matrix team are aligned on the strategic vision for the category and must ensure they consistently operate as one cohesive and functional unit. Conversely, the KAM must support their matrix team through various department obstacles; namely recalls/RTV’s, order fulfillment challenges and supplier relationship management. The KAM is responsible for ensuring that their matrix team is meeting critical customer deadlines and delivering exceptional customer service that will build strong, long lasting relationships with our customers.

Required Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business administration, sales, or relevant field; Master’s degree preferred.

  • Knowledge of local & international trade.

  • Ability to travel both domestically as well as internationally.

  • Experience of working cross functionally or within a matrix organization.

  • Encouraging to team members; able to mentor and lead.

  • Four to five years previous work experience in sales, management, key account management, or relevant experience.

  • Good understanding of project management and following a CPA.

  • Understanding of Food/Food Retail industry.

  • Advanced computer skills, and experience with CRM software and Microsoft Office, with emphasis on superior Excel skills.
